Monday – Friday 6am – 2:30pm Pay Range: $16 – $21 Summary: Use multiple machines such as slitters, rewind slitters, laminators, sheeters, choppers, and hand tools to prep raw sheet or roll material so that other areas can use the material to fabricate parts. Works with many other departments so to understand the most efficient and effective ways to supply material so to maximize material yield and labor rates. Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 1. Operates and understands the proper machines or equipment so to ensure that that material is prepped per the work order routing instructions. 2. Follows verbal and written instructions that are given to them via the supervisor or through the work order. 3. Follows BOMs and quality plans in work order routings as needed, but asks questions to see if other various size materials can be used for a particular order so that a job’s due date can be met. 4. Records length of time and quantity of materials used for each job. 5. Adjust the tasks that you are working on in a quick and efficient manner so to handle expedited orders or orders that need more material at the end of a run. 6. Identify material issues as soon as possible so to minimize any disruption in getting the work order out on time. 7. Ensures production equipment and set up's are completed as required. 8. Suggests better processes or ways to prep each respected job based on the raw material given so to increase a yield or labor rate by using math and spatial skills. 9. Reads and interprets blueprints and specifications. Also, works with other areas to understand why certain areas require material prepped a certain way. 10. Helps to train fellow employees or temps on machines, reading blueprints, understanding routings, and policies. 11. Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and/or personal injuries. 12. Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations and wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines. 13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
