Job Description

Responsibilities – Receive customer info/BOM and initiate BOM – Note any RoHS/special requests/qty to be quoted – Create part numbers in ERP as required – Send Gerber files to board house for quote – Obtains prices/availability for quotation, completing quote, amortizing as necessary – Receive new orders and obtain bids with best price for time requirements – Place orders for components, scheduling deliveries as necessary to meet customer due dates – Monitors price paid vs. Quoted prices – Target hard to find parts and research to find substitutes to offer for approval – Inform Production of deliveries for production planning, including pertinent changes, updates, and dock dates – Inform Sales of long lead time parts, if delivery will be delayed – Enter ERP Bill of Material – Approve suppliers in ERP – Monitor suppliers – Contact Quality if discrepancies may require a possible SCAR – Maintain Buys and QM file retention Authorities – Sends out requests for pricing – Places orders, scheduling deliveries as required – Monitors and expedites orders to ensure on-time delivery – Contacts suppliers regarding shortages, discrepancies, return parts if required – Instructs and oversees the Purchasing/Quotation Agent Assistant

Job Requirements

Qualifications – Must be detail oriented – Must be able to multi-task well – Self-starter with a good memory – Good communication skills – Solid phone communication skills – Computer literate with knowledge of Excel/Calc spreadsheets (basic formulas and functionality) – Internet savvy
