Certified Medical Assistant
CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT DETAILS
M- F | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | $20.00 per hour
Location: Louisville, KY.
About the Certified Medical Assistant role
– Creating a welcoming and positive environment at the facility.
– Obtaining patient information and updating health records.
– Scheduling follow-up appointments, procedures, and tests.
– Recording patients’ vitals and administering vaccines.
– Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the facility.
– Explaining tests and procedures to patients and their families in a reassuring way.
– Assisting patients and their families to locate the facility’s consultation offices and examination rooms.
– Stocking and sterilizing examination rooms between patients.
– Assisting healthcare professionals to examine and treat distressed patients.
– Performing other administrative duties related to the facility on request

Job Requirements
– Certified Medical Assistant Qualifications:
– Med Asst. Certification preferred
– Experience with measuring and recording patients’ vital health statistics.
– Experience and comfortability with administering vaccines and injections.
– Knowledge of/experience with phlebotomy, administering injections/immunizations, vaccination schedules, Vaccines For Children (VFC) program, waived and CLIA Moderate level in-office laboratory testing
– Able to effectively communicate knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriately.
– Knowledge of standard healthcare practices and medical terminology.
– Proficiency in electronic health record-keeping systems,
– Exceptional interpersonal skills to support and reassure pediatric patients and their families.
– Ability to multitask and follow instructions given by healthcare professionals.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Think quickly “on their feet,” have a strong aptitude for independent problem-solving, attention to detail, and are willing to go the extra mile.
