Job Description
Responsibilities:
o Assembles, packages and labels products.
o Operates equipment and tools as required.
o Maintains assembly jigs, hand tools and equipment in good working order.
o Has basic product knowledge. Know which types of wheels belong on specific products being assembled, model numbers, bearings, nuts, bolts, etc.
o Continuously produces at an acceptable level of productivity with some supervision.
o Arranges own assembly area for the efficient assembly of all products.
o Notifies Production Supervisor of tools in need of repair, low inventory of items used daily and poor quality of product being assembled.
o Produces quality finished goods with acceptable workmanship and few rejects.
o Maintains moderate product knowledge. Know which types of wheels belong on specific products being assembled, model numbers, bearings, nuts, bolts, etc.
o Consistently produces at an acceptable level of productivity with some supervision.
o Verifies and refers to Bill of Materials (BOM).
o Prints blueprints from engineering folders.
o Verifies and refers to Bill of Materials (BOM). o Guides small groups of associates on special tasks.
o Substitutes as Lead when needed.
o Troubleshoots problems (Products, components, tools and overall quality of products being assembled.)
o Produces high quality finished goods with acceptable quality and minimal rejects.
o Has strong product knowledge. Knows what types of wheels belong on specific products being assembled, model numbers, bearings, nuts, bolts, etc.
o Consistently produces at an acceptable level of productivity with very little supervision.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
o Previous manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
Physical Activity for this position: Essential for job function requires the ability to (with or without reasonable accommodations):
o Balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and reaches to work overhead.
o Walks or stands for a minimum of 8 hours with limited breaks.
o Pushes and pulls materials, fingers and grasps parts and components.
o Exerts up to 60 pounds of force frequently.
o Pays close visual acuity to perform inspections and operate machines. o Tolerates extremes in weather and machine temperature.
