They are looking for a Building Maintenance Technician for their facility on the south side of Chicago. Pay will be based on experience but can range $28-$30/hour. This is a full time position but schedule will vary and may include on call duties. The responsibilities of the Building Maintenance Technician will include but are not limited to: • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. • Troubleshoot and repair issues related to facilities maintenance. • Conduct residential painting projects to maintain aesthetic appeal. • Maintenance requests and scheduling preventive maintenance. • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to program requests and concerns. • Lead small teams on specific projects or tasks when necessary, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.

The requirements of the Building Maintenance Technician position are: • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems. • Experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on plumbing and electrical systems. • Efficient management of maintenance tasks. • Leadership abilities to prioritize during projects or repairs. • Experience in carpentry work, drywall, tiling and painting techniques to enhance building appearance. • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
