Job Description

Crown Staffing is hiring a Field Service Apprentice in Cincinnati, OH Hours: Full-time, training and travel schedule as required Position Overview: The Field Service Apprentice will learn the skills necessary to assist in the diagnosis, repair, and calibration of complex cascade refrigeration and electrical systems on environmental test chambers. This apprenticeship program includes hands-on training alongside experienced technicians at multiple locations for up to 12 months. Upon completion, the apprentice will have the opportunity to become a Field Service Technician, traveling up to 50% annually across the U.S. Key Responsibilities: -Assist in the diagnosis, repair, and calibration of refrigeration and electrical systems -Installation and maintenance of environmental test chambers -Use hand and power tools, refrigeration gauges, and evacuators -Complete training checklists and receive regular feedback -Maintain a clean and organized workspace and service vehicle -Track and report job expenses and calibration equipment maintenance -Provide excellent customer service and technical assistance -Travel extensively throughout North America as needed -Assist with training sessions and communicate effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams -Document field activities and complete paperwork accurately -Train on relevant software systems, vacuum pumps, PID controls, and low voltage operations

Job Requirements

Qualifications: -High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred -Basic math skills and the ability to use measuring instruments -Ability to follow detailed instructions and read SOPs and FDA/GMP guidelines -Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to train and learn -Ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environments -Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50% of the time) -Ability to stand, lift up to 25 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 100 lbs with mechanical assistance or team lifting -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Preferred Experience: -3-5 years of experience in A/C, refrigeration, electrical, or related fields -EPA Class II Certification preferred -Familiarity with CRM databases, Microsoft Office, and industrial control systems Physical Requirements: -Standing and manual dexterity throughout the day -Bending, climbing, reaching, and occasional kneeling -Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors and at a desk
