Job Description
Production Operators
Location: Lebanon, OH
Schedule: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 2 days on / 3 days off
The Company:
We are partnering with a leading OEM automotive supplier located in Lebanon, Ohio, specializing in manufacturing high-quality disc brake components. The company uses a Just-In-Time production model to efficiently identify and solve problems throughout the manufacturing process, producing world-class quality calipers, antilock braking systems, and electric parking brakes.
The Role:
As a Production Operator, you will be part of a team responsible for meeting safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals in the assigned area.
Core Responsibilities:
-Identify and correct unsafe acts or conditions as they arise
-Perform quality inspections and measurements according to standards and record data
-Recognize quality problems and take appropriate corrective action
-Participate in continuous improvement activities
-Perform preventative maintenance and startup checks to standards
-Recognize and correct machine problems; assist Maintenance Technicians as needed
-Monitor machine performance and take appropriate action to adjust as necessary
-Perform line changeovers and tool changes as required
-Perform 5S and cleanup activities as needed
-Ensure team standards are followed and productivity and quality goals are met
-Keep team leaders and supervisors informed of problems within the area
-Work overtime daily and/or weekends as needed
-Operators may be assigned to any area within the manufacturing process
Area-Specific Duties:
-Machining:
-Load and unload castings into machines
-Machine castings using CNC mills, lathes, and multi-drills per standards and cycle times
Plating:
-Load machined castings onto plating racks
-Unload machined and plated castings and prepare for delivery to assembly
-Monitor, test, and maintain chemical balance in the plating process
-Transfer production materials through the manufacturing flow using an electric cart
Assembly:
-Load and unload machined and plated castings and components into PLC machines
-Manually assemble calipers per standards and cycle times
-Transfer finished goods to appropriate containers
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience/training
-Ability to read and understand safety, operating, and maintenance documents written in English
-Ability to record data and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
-Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rate, ratio, percent, and interpret graphs
-Ability to work effectively in a team environment and participate positively in team activities
