Job Summary: The CNC Press Brake Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC press brake machines used in the fabrication and forming of metal parts according to customer specifications. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency in the production process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets and components. Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and work orders to meet precise part dimensions and tolerances. Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job and ensure proper machine setup. Perform quality checks using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Monitor machine operation during production runs and make adjustments as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards. Document production data and communicate with supervisors regarding any issues or material needs. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the press brake and related equipment. Collaborate with team members and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical training or apprenticeship preferred. 1–3 years of experience operating CNC press brakes in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with metal fabrication processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Proficient in the use of measuring tools and inspection equipment. Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
