Maintenance Technician Job Description Location: Indianapolis, IN Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (flexibility required based on production needs) Pay: $25–$35/hour (based on experience) Position Type: Full-Time About the Maintenance Technician Role Crown Staffing is seeking a hands-on, reliable, and team-driven Maintenance Technician to join an Indianapolis production facility. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, proactive problem-solver, and enthusiastic about working collaboratively to keep operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities -Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize equipment across the production floor -Perform and manage preventative maintenance programs -Address mechanical and electrical breakdowns promptly -Maintain and repair plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems -Develop and follow a preventative maintenance plan and parts reorder schedule -Collaborate with the Lead Maintenance Technician and other departments to meet production needs -Manage parts inventory and order necessary supplies -Assist with the coordination and completion of maintenance-related projects -Create and maintain documentation for all maintenance activities -Respond to equipment issues to minimize downtime Position Requirements -High School Diploma or GED required -Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility -Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills -Proficiency with PLC systems and ladder logic required -Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities -Valid driver’s license -Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential Essential Functions -Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods while monitoring equipment -Must tolerate exposure to high/low temperatures and industrial environments -Must have visual acuity to assess mechanical issues and system status -Must be comfortable working in tight quarters and at various heights -Ability to use computers and maintenance software for tracking and scheduling tasks Why Work with Us This facility values a strong, supportive culture where teamwork, communication, and accountability are the foundation of success.
