Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
Diagnosis:
Inspect vehicles to identify problems, often using computerized diagnostic equipment.
Understand and interpret diagnostic codes and test results.
Repair:
Repair or replace worn or damaged parts, including brakes, tires, suspension components, and electrical systems.
Perform repairs according to manufacturer and customer specifications.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotations.
Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
Customer Interaction:
Explain automotive problems and repairs to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
Provide accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance.
Order necessary parts.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow safety procedures.
Keep logs on work and issues.
Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
Skills and Qualifications:
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of automotive systems and mechanics.
Diagnostic Skills: Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems.
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of automotive issues.
Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical information to customers in a clear and concise manner.
Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures.
