Buyer Job Details Location: Louisville, KY Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $25 – $30/hour (based on experience) Position Type: Temp-to-Hire About the Buyer Role Crown Staffing is seeking an experienced Buyer to join a manufacturing team in Louisville, KY. This position is responsible for managing procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials and services. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment. Key Responsibilities -Procure raw materials, services, and expense items with a focus on cost, quality, and timely delivery -Analyze market trends to assess impact on pricing, supply, and material availability -Prepare RFQ packages and negotiate supplier contracts -Select vendors based on total cost analysis and company standards -Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery and follow-up -Maintain accurate purchasing records and ERP system data -Resolve pricing discrepancies, supply defects, and delivery issues -Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to identify new or alternative suppliers -Support pricing for customer bids, new products, and limited-time offers -Ensure purchasing activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements Qualifications -Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent work experience) -3+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in food manufacturing -Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems -Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills -Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask -Comfortable working independently and within cross-functional teams Next Steps Thank you for your interest in the Buyer position!
