Collector Job Details Location: Louisville, KY Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM & Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Pay: $20.01/hour | 37.5 hours/week Position Type: Temp-to-Hire About the Collector Role Crown Staffing is seeking a professional and goal-driven Collector to join a team in Louisville, KY. This role is responsible for contacting defaulted student loan borrowers, negotiating repayment arrangements, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment, and a passion for helping borrowers find solutions. Key Responsibilities -Contact defaulted borrowers via phone and/or automated dialing systems to negotiate repayment terms within legal and policy guidelines -Contact third-party references to obtain location or contact information for borrowers -Demonstrate excellent telephone communication skills and active listening abilities -Assess borrower situations, identify resolution options, and provide repayment counseling to help avoid re-default -Document all borrower interactions and collection activities accurately in system records -Research account histories, review imaged documents, and use skip tracing resources to locate borrowers -Consistently meet department and corporate goals for productivity and resolution rates -Perform additional collection-related duties as assigned Requirements -High school diploma or GED required -Minimum 6 months of call center experience preferred -Strong oral and written communication skills -Proficient computer skills -Previous debt collection, sales, or student loan servicing experience preferred -Experience with automated dialing systems preferred -Knowledge of student loan processes preferred About Crown Staffing Crown Staffing is a staffing and recruiting company that unites character-driven people and companies to build rewarding careers and strong organizations.
