Crown Staffing is looking Press Brake Operators for a large steel fabrication shop in St. Charles, IL! Press brake operators produce parts and tools from metal using a press brake, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends. Hand tools such as dial calipers, bar micrometers, squares, and protractors are also used. Converting decimals to fractions is also part of the daily tasks. Must have Amada or Trumpf press experience. This is a full-service sheet metal fabricator, specializing in stainless steel innovation Mon-Fri 1st shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm & 2nd shift 4:30 pm- 1:00 am $20-27 based on experience – West Chicago area Job Duties: Operates Computer Numerical Control (CNC) on respective AMADA brand equipment Performs machine set-ups, adjusts and loads tooling, and makes changes at the controls for parts as required for specifications outlined in blueprints, drawings, engineering orders, etc. Check parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and/or materials to the Supervisor or Quality Control Specialist (QC) Set up and operate the machine independently with limited supervision Ensure the work area is kept clean and free from hazards Collaborate with other departments as needed Assist in departmental measurable goals relating to production concerns, quality, and efficiency Assist in the monthly inventory count to ensure proper inventory control Actively look for ways to improve the profitability and productivity of the company

Skills and Experience Required: High School diploma or GED CAD or drafting experience is a plus Must have Press Brake Experience (1-2 years minimum experience) (Amada or Trumpf experience preferred) Experience with Amada HDS, HG Press Brakes, or Cincinnati Press Brakes is a plus Must be able to work at a fast pace, follow instructions, and be self-motivated Requires excellent math skills including fractions and geometry Requires ability to read measuring equipment, calipers, and other tools Requires the ability to read blueprints and calculate bend allowances Work independently with minimal supervision Must work well with others Ensure and verify parts match customer drawings Provide immediate feedback when problems occur Why Work with Crown?
