Job Description
ob Title: SPOT WELDER MACHINE OPERATOR
Schedule: M-TH 6 am-3 pm, F- 6 am-12 pm
Precision sheet metal fabricator, machining and welding shop. We manufacture a wide range of high-quality components and finished products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Press Brake Operator, read and interpret blueprints (GD& T), mics, and calipers to comprehend work orders
Ability to identify metals /materials accurately.
Operate spot welding machine, including planning the welding sequence.
Select the proper electrode type and size.
Regulate current and voltage for proper penetration and fusion of metals.
Position the workpiece manually.
Read Travelers and understand how to route parts to the next operation.
Must be able to do their setups
Reads the Blueprint to determine weld locations.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized 5-S work station
Follow the processes from beginning to end to ensure the quality of parts. Perform quality checks on parts with common measuring tools and purpose-built gauges in compliance with company drawings, travelers, and specifications.

Job Requirements
Ability to set up and operate spot welding machines.
Must be able to accurately read and interpret blueprints and use them to inspect own work.
Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
Must possess good communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods while performing physically demanding repetitive job tasks.
Capable of regular lifting of randomly sized items
Highly Self-Motivated.
Punctuality and Good Attendance are a Must.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and in writing, along with the ability to do basic math.
Ability to make decisions and solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions.
Experienced specifically in “spot” welding
Not a hand tool but a large machine
Calibrating the welding machine
Reading diameters
Calibers
Understanding the pressure and timing of the machine
Knowing the material, they are spot welding, and how it will be affected
