Our client is a full-service sheet metal fabricator located in the St. Charles, IL area. They are looking for Press Brake Machine Operators. Pay will be based on experience but can range $21-$24/hour. 2nd shift available! Press brake operators produce parts and tools from metal using a press brake, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends. The use of hand tools such as dial calipers, bar micrometer, squares and protractors. Converting decimals to fractions is also part of the daily tasks. The responsibilities of the Press Brake Machine Operator position will include but are not limited to: • Perform offline programming when applicable. • Manage programs and program backups for all models of press brakes. Including organizing and maintaining the Amada programs and investigate areas of programming improvement. • Perform a wide range of set-ups, necessary maintenance to press brakes and equipment. • Implement training programs for existing and new operators to include all pertinent areas such as tool selection, manual programming, and inspection, both first article and in process. • Responsible for all tool care and organization and train press brake staff to maintain correctly. • Ensures set up personnel clock in/out ERP system set up, for accurate accounting. • Ensure operators clock into job in ERP system, record quantities produced (including any scrap) and clock out at end of job, for accurate accounting. • Design and work with engineering to fabricate special tools or request quotes for special tooling. • Coordinate with plant manager, production control and material handlers to ensure all raw materials, prints and tooling are ready for upcoming jobs.
