Job Description
Crown Staffing is now hiring a Lathe Operator for a family-owned manufacturing company of steel stamp engravings, cookie, cracker, and snack food dies.
Lathe Operator Job Details
7am – 3:30pm | Monday – Friday | $22-$25/hr
Overtime possible and mandatory
About the Lathe Operator Role
As a Lathe Operator , your responsibilities will include:
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of basic mathematics and instruments such as micrometers, depth gages, dial indicators and vernier calipers to name a few.
Dimensionally and visually examining completed products to assure they meet the requirements of the engineering/customer specifications.
Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials.
Layout and measure products to perform machining operations to meet customerrequirements
Set-up lathe operation to machine to .001 TIR
Position and fasten work pieces.
Operate equipment to verify overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Perform daily maintenance (PM’s) to equipment such as clean, lubricate, and check accuracy
Perform minor repairs during equipment breakdown or failure
Assist with designing fixtures, tooling and experimental parts to meet special customer needs.

Job Requirements
Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
Mechanical Aptitude
Teamwork and positive attitude
Using basic mathematics to estimate measurements and sizes accurately to layout work pieces
Reading and understanding blueprints, charts and tables
