Job Description

Our client is a manufacturer of premium hardscape accessory products. They are looking for an Order Entry Specialist for their facility in Aurora, IL. Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, M – F Pay Rate: $20-$22/hour based on experience In this role, you will be responsible for processing orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely fulfillment. Responsibilities: 1. Order Entry: Enter customer orders into our system accurately, ensuring all product codes, quantities, and shipping details are correct. o Emailed purchase orders o Phone orders o Online portals 2. Freight Bill Auditing: Audit freight bills against freight quotes provided for each order to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. 3. Phone Support: Answer incoming calls from customers and sales representatives, assisting with order inquiries, status updates, and general questions. 4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and concerns via phone and email. 5. General Administrative Support: Assist with general office tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 1. Attention to Detail: Must have strong attention to detail and be able to accurately enter and process orders without error. 2. Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and solve problems as they arise, especially when dealing with complex orders or discrepancies. 3. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to handle customer interactions effectively. 4. Fast Learner: Quick to adapt to new software, systems, and processes. 5. Customer Service Focus: Friendly and approachable, with a dedication to providing excellent customer service. 6. Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 7. Computer Skills: Comfortable with MS Office, email, and order management systems. o Office 365 o Sage 100 8. Prior experience in order entry or customer service roles 9. Working with logistics is a plus.
