Job Description

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Pay rate 16.50/hr 1st shift 6am-2:30pm Mon-Frr Plus OT Provides training and coaching to new and current painters, prevents line stoppages, and remains positioned on the powder coating line to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded. Assists in maintaining equipment by performing daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance. **Best fit candidate for the line leads would be someone that has worked in a fabricating production environment as a lead.** SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: -Performs tasks assigned by the paint line supervisor or packing and assembly manager. -Capable of troubleshooting paint line issues including but not limited to the cure over, dry off oven, paint booth, washer, or burn off oven. -Responsible for maintaining quality on painted parts per control plan (thickness, adhesion, and gloss) and following our ISO 9001:2015 -quality standards, specifically clause 8.5.1 verification of quality. -Maintenance of hooks (hooks provide proper conductivity and becomes part of quality). -Powder inventory (Making sure that upcoming jobs have powder in house, communicating any upcoming or forecasted shortages with purchasing). -Capable of maintaining a repetitive, sweeping motion for 4-hours at a time. -Proactively works to reduce costs, simplify processes/operations, and improve product quality. -Holding painters accountable for their roles and responsibility, helping as needed. -Communicates well with other line members. -Ensures safety standards are met or exceeded. -Responsible for recording issues, stoppages, shortages, or anything related to line performance. -Responsible for housekeeping inside of the powder coating line. -Responsible for recording entries on the chemical, paint, inventory, line stoppage, color change time, and quality logs. -Maximizes line travel by optimizing line utilization (minimizing gaps) and increasing line speed beyond 8FPM (feet per minute) while -maintaining our quality standards.

Job Requirements
