Our Client is a metal fabricating company in Hammond, Indiana. We specialize in custom architectural products, commercial and industrial projects. pay rate is based on the exp 18-20/hr 6am-2:30pm with OT SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must be able to comprehend all process control plans, characteristics to inspect, the specification, the evaluation and measurement techniques, sample sizes, sampling frequency, data recording methods, and the non-conformance reaction plans. Must be able to apply knowledge of control plans, at the powder coating process, to identify conformance. Must be bilingual (English / Spanish) for this position. SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: • Takes direction from the Paint Line Supervisor / Process Engineer. • Works in tandem with Line Leads on Powder Coating Line and Packing/Assembly Lines. • Ensures compliance on work orders, schedule, and process of raw (hanging) and painted parts (take off). • Spot checks parts for quality as they come off the line and reports discrepancies, then advises the supervisor. • Provides guidance to the team for the proper handling and packing of all painted parts to ensure quality. • Ensures compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, and relevant control plans. • Utilize calibrated measuring equipment, to verify quality. • Work overtime as needed. • Report quality defect rate to the supervisor / process engineer, to monitor FTT% (First Time Through). • Continually recommend improvements to the process.
