Job Description

Our client is in the business of human development, providing opportunity for recovery, restoration, reinstatement and re-entry into productive and fulfilling life. They are looking for a House Manager for their facility on the south side of Chicago. Pay will be based on experience but can range $18-23/hour. Hours are 8am-5pm. The responsibilities of the House Manager will include but are not limited to: • Facilitates scheduled daily activities; monitors clients’ progress; assists/supports clients in the development of skills necessary for successful independent living. • Makes sure program policies and rules are followed. • Maintains proper documentation on all activities, incidents, logs and write ups etc. • Complete daily intakes and logs as necessary. • Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the linen and supply areas. • Oversee client’s assigned chores and activities are completed. • Capability to constantly maneuver stairs to facilitate client’s entry and exists as well as overseeing the meal services. • Search and wand clients’ and belongings upon their entry. • Make certain that all clients are treated with the highest level of respect and professionalism. • Maintain compliance with all organization trainings. • Maintain boundaries with staff and clients and following all OBM policies and procedures are a must.

Job Requirements

The requirements of the House Manager position are: • Minimum of 2 years experience in a social service field • High diploma or equivalent • Strong customer service skills • Ability to maintain excellent attendance and flexibility to schedule/location adjustments and changes including working varying locations, shifts, holidays and weekends. • Able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
