Job Description
Responsibilities:
o Works from priority list provided by production schedule on the dashboard.
o Print and maintain all labels associated with this process.
o Train all manufacturing associates to follow the kitting process.
o Hold all associates accountable for the kitting process.
o Maintains BOM’s in IQMS by presenting to Engineering via ECO process.
o Close out all work orders when completed, hourly, or when needed by a downstream customer.
o Harvest all steel weld requirements, scan to proper location, and turn the dashboard green.
o Communicates with internal customers to guarantee that product is available in conjunction with the
production schedule.
o Uses ERP system for direct material requirements, ensuring the right quantity of the correct material is in the
right place when required and from the right area.
o Works with Purchasing and Production management to establish and maintain manufacturing processes to
meet customer requirements.
o Acts as a key member of the physical inventory team including preparation, counting and data entry of annual
physical inventory.
o Communicates safety, quality, and productivity expectations to associates and then follows up to inspect
expectations periodically.
o Develops and maintains a system to train all associates on the procedures required to ensure success.
o Works with engineering to guarantee that company has proper documentation related to the kitting process.
o Manages department data and ensures required paperwork is 100% complete and dashboards are free of
errors.
o Works extended hours before and after shift as needed.
o Adheres to company guidelines and supports the Code of Conduct.
o Identifies and resolves department problems and seeks assistance when necessary.
o Coordinates operations between other departments to ensure downstream customer is satisfied.
o Maintains excellent attendance record.
o Maintains a safe work environment in department for compliance with OSHA and other company regulations.
o Keeps work area neat and clean and helps the company maintain company 5S score.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
o Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
o 5+ years’ experience within manufacturing.
o Must be able to use bar code readers, computer, and other electronic devices.
o Must have high attention to detail, strong communication skills, and excellent problem-solving skills.
o Shows initiative and the ability to begin and follow a job through to completion with little supervision.
o Must be able to lead a team.
o Must be able to adhere to and enforce processes.
