Job Description

Quality Control Technician Location: Elizabethtown, KY Pay Rate: $20/hour Schedule: 3:00pm-11:30pm Position Type: Temp-to-Hire About the Quality Control Technician Perform tasks relating to the day-to-day operations of the lab including product testing, data entry, and equipment calibration/maintenance. Support Quality Assurance Manager’s responsibilities as needed. Key Responsibilities -Implement Inspection Instructions for functional activities. -Monitor raw material and in-process and final product testing, including data entry/evaluation. -File documentation including Certificates of Analysis, Production Formulas and Process Check Sheets. Keep all data current as modifications are issued. -Report non-conformities or non-conformance traits to the Quality Assurance Manager. -Support Quality Assurance Manager’s tasks as required by changing business demands. -Support all ISO 9001 initiatives, including Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions recommendations, non-conforming products documentation, and customer complaints resolution through communication with Quality Assurance Manager. Quality Control Technician Requirements -Minimum of Associates or Technical degree with 2+ years experience in a technical role or High School diploma with 4+ years experience in a technical role. -Computer literate in a Microsoft Office and electronic database environment. Advanced familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel highly preferred. -Familiarity with a quality inspection program is required -2+ years experience in a technical/quality environment. Strong desire to learn all aspects of Quality Assurance is essential. -Well-organized and able to work in a fast paced environment that constantly changes. Strong multitasking skills required. -Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills. -Well-organized document management skills using alphabetical and numeric filing systems. -Average key boarding and/or data entry skills. -Positive attitude when interacting when all levels of the organization. -Flexible schedule that accommodates changing production needs (occasionally). -Talk and hear responses from supervisor and co-workers. -Ambulate throughout the lab and front office areas of the facility. -Lift and carry 25-lbs without assistance. -Acute mental awareness of the physical surroundings so that multiple tasks are managed and/or monitored at the same time. -Keen organizational skills to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. -Compilation of information about people, activities, or things. -Learn new tasks to perform a variety of jobs or functions. -Comprehend all written and verbal directives.
