Tool Technician Job Details Location: Shelbyville, KY Schedule: 1st Shift | 1:00 AM – 9:00 AM Pay Rate: $21.78/hour Position Type: Temp-to-Hire About the Tool Technician Role Crown Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Tool Technician to join a dedicated manufacturing team in Shelbyville, KY. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing molds, setting up auxiliary equipment, and supporting preventative maintenance across the facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in mold/tool maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general mechanical repairs. Key Responsibilities Mold and Tool Maintenance: -Perform maintenance and minor repairs on molds -Set up molds and related components (knockouts, hot runners, hydraulics, pneumatics) -Troubleshoot and repair fluid/air leaks -Load/unload mold-carrying trucks -Install/remove auxiliary equipment from molding floor -Maintain organization of all mold-setting tools and supplies -Follow quick mold change policies and press parameters Maintenance Support: -Start up presses and support plant equipment maintenance (boilers, compressors, furnaces, etc.) -Conduct daily preventive maintenance inspections (PMs) -Repair fill guns, regulators, valves, pre-expanders, bead tumblers -Perform basic welding and forklift maintenance -Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner -Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area Requirements -Mechanical aptitude and experience with tools, hydraulics, and pneumatics -Familiarity with mold setup and press operations -Ability to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs -Strong organizational and documentation skills -Commitment to safety and quality in a manufacturing environment Why Work With Our Client Once hired on, employees can expect: -Hands-on technical experience -Opportunities to expand into advanced maintenance roles -A clean, safety-first environment Next Steps Thank you for your interest in the Tool Technician position!
