Welder – Level 1 & Level 2 Location: Mount Orab, OH Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:45 AM – 4:30 PM Company: Crown Staffing Job Overview: The Welder plays a critical role in fabricating, assembling, and welding metal and steel components based on SOPs, blueprints, and instructions from foremen or leads. This fast-paced role requires attention to quality and safety at all times. Pay: -Level 1: $18 – $19/hour -Level 2: $19 – $20.99/hour Level 1 Requirements: -Able to pass 2F, 3F, and 4F GMAW welder qualification tests Level 2 Requirements (includes Level 1 plus): -Able to pass a tape measure test down to 1/16” -Able to pass a print reading written test -Able to pass a weld map written test -Must have a welding certification -Able to pass a plasma cutter practical and written test Job Responsibilities: -Follow all company quality standards using a “Stop and Fix” mindset -Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to 5S and safety protocols -Read blueprints and drawings, and take measurements to plan layout and welding procedures -Determine the correct welding equipment, settings, and methods -Set up and prepare components for welding -Use angle grinders to prepare parts for welding -Align components using fixtures, tape measures, levels, speed squares, and clamps -Weld components in multiple positions: vertical, horizontal, and overhead -Prepare components by welding pieces and filling gaps as required -Inspect welds to identify and address flaws -Maintain equipment in safe working condition -Assist other welders to ensure efficient completion of work -Consistently lift over 50 lbs and work in various physical positions (bending, stooping, kneeling, standing) during 10-hour shifts -Other duties as assigned
