Job Summary
The Paint Booth Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment within the automotive paint booth areas. This role ensures the removal of paint overspray, debris, and contaminants from booth surfaces, grates, equipment, and surrounding areas to support efficient operations, high-quality paint finishes, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily, weekly, and scheduled cleaning of paint booths, including floors, walls, grates, filters, and surrounding areas.
Remove paint overspray, dust, and debris to ensure proper airflow and prevent defects in vehicle finishes.
Replace and dispose of paint booth filters in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, vacuums, and other specialized tools.
Handle chemical cleaning agents safely, following all company policies and OSHA standards.
Inspect booths and equipment for cleanliness and report any maintenance needs or damage to supervision.
Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, tasks performed, and materials used.
Follow lockout/tagout procedures when working around equipment.
Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting methods to improve booth cleanliness and efficiency.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous industrial cleaning, janitorial, or automotive paint shop experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and around chemicals.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
Forklift Experience.
