Job Summary:
As a Staff Pharmacist on the 2nd shift, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely dispensing of medications to our clients. Working alongside our dedicated healthcare team, you will be responsible for reviewing prescriptions, verifying dosages, and providing patient education to promote optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
– Review and verify prescription orders to ensure accuracy and safety
– Dispense medications in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
– Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and storage
– Collaborate with healthcare providers to address any medication-related concerns
– Maintain detailed records and documentation related to pharmacy operations
– Assist pharmacy technicians with various tasks as needed
Qualifications:
– Licensed pharmacist with a valid state pharmacy license
– Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist
– Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical principles, drug interactions, and patient care
– Proficient in the use of pharmacy software and computer systems
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– Pharmacy technician certification or experience preferred
