Crown Staffing is urgently hiring for a Plasma Table Operator
Plasma Table Operator / Metal Fabrication Technician Job Details
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $23.00 – $26.00/hour (based on experience)
Location: Columbus, OH
Plasma Table Operator
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn advanced equipment operation
- Ability to lift and carry 30–60 lbs regularly (team lifting required for heavier materials)
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure to at least 1/16"
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform physically demanding work
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with CNC plasma cutting equipment preferred
- Experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or blueprint reading is a plus
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the shift
About the Plasma Table Operator
As a Plasma Table Operator / Metal Fabrication Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading materials onto plasma tables, shears, and press brakes
- Cleaning, preparing, and organizing metal materials for production
- Assisting with the setup, operation, and monitoring of plasma cutting equipment
- Operating industrial shears and press brakes to cut and form metal components
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and production specifications
- Adjusting machine settings to maintain accuracy and product quality
- Performing torch head replacements and basic preventative maintenance on equipment
- Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Safely handling raw materials and finished products throughout the fabrication process
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Following all company safety policies and procedures
- Collaborating with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
