About the Warehouse Supervisor Role
Crown Staffing is seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations including material handling, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and equipment oversight. This role ensures safe and efficient warehouse performance while supporting production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
The Warehouse Supervisor will provide leadership to warehouse personnel, coordinate transportation activities, maintain accurate inventory records, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise assigned warehouse, shipping, and receiving personnel.
- Coordinate daily routing of TL and LTL shipments and inbound/outbound transfers.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts for finished goods and raw materials.
- Ensure all inventory and warehouse reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Work with freight carriers to resolve delivery issues, delays, or lost freight.
- Partner with Customer Service to trace shipments and correct shipping errors.
- Provide guidance, leadership, and support to warehouse staff.
- Monitor and enforce Safety & Health policies and procedures.
- Ensure routine inspection of forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.
- Review and enforce policies related to inventory movement and product shipment.
- Edit and distribute customer shipping activity reports and paperwork.
- Enter and edit raw material transactions; generate and distribute reports.
- Review production schedules to ensure material availability.
- Communicate daily with corporate Customer Service and transportation vendors.
- Support employee training schedules and monitor progress.
- Participate as a member of the Plant Management Team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises at least one employee in the Warehouse Department.
- Responsibilities include:
- Interviewing, training, and onboarding employees
- Assigning and directing work
- Evaluating performance
- Rewarding and disciplining employees
- Addressing complaints and resolving issues
- Ensures compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and shipping/receiving processes.
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Safety rules
- Operating and maintenance instructions
- Procedure manuals
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Mathematical ability to compute:
- Rates
- Ratios
- Percentages
- Basic calculations and metric units
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills.
- Ability to work in standardized but dynamic operational environments.
