Job Description
Crown Staffing is Now Hiring a full-time sit down forklift operator for a freight forwarding company in West Chicago,IL!
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | $18/hr
- Overtime possible and mandatory
Import Pickups Requirements
- Must have forklift experience (sit-down)
- Must be able to load/unload freight safely and efficiently
- Must be reliable and detail-oriented with strong attendance
- Warehouse/logistics experience preferred
About the Import Pickups Role
As an Import Pickups Associate, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating a forklift to move, stage, and organize freight (forklift, warehouse, logistics)
- Loading and unloading inbound/outbound shipments safely (shipping, receiving)
- Locating freight for pickup and staging it in designated areas (inventory, material handling)
- Verifying shipment counts and checking for damages or missing items (accuracy, quality control)
- Using scanners or warehouse systems to track freight movement (RF scanner, data entry)
- Labeling, sorting, and organizing products for customer pickup or transfer (order staging)
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area, following all safety rules (warehouse safety)
- Assisting with general warehouse tasks as assigned (teamwork)
