Requirements of the machine op trainee:

–Must have a valid driver's license

– MUST KNOW HOW TO USE AND OPERATE CALIPERS

— Needs prior experience with grinding machines (example: milling machines and lathes)

— Must be able to lift 50-70 lbs
– Ability to work in hot environments
– Will be working in a machine shop
–Prolonged periods of standing, walking,
–Ability to work overtime when mandatory

Responsibilities of the General Laborer:
– will be operating a machine that sharpens steel blades
– will be using micrometers and calipers to measure blades to ensure the requirement is met
– Complete work reports, obtain hot work permits, and maintain OSHA logs
