About the Maintenance Supervisor Role
Crown Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead and oversee maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient production through strong leadership, preventive maintenance planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to support production and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and oversee maintenance personnel responsible for equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ensure optimal equipment performance to support production efficiency and minimize downtime
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective action plans
- Troubleshoot, program, and document PLC control systems (Modicon, Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical wiring and control circuits
- Oversee maintenance of electrical systems including 24V, 115V, 277V, and 480V three-phase power
- Develop, schedule, and supervise preventive maintenance programs for production and facility equipment
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to identify current and future maintenance needs
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards, including lockout/tag-out and safe work practices
- Manage performance, training, and development of maintenance team members
- Partner with supervisors to ensure timely maintenance support for production and quality goals
- Lead and support capital improvement and equipment upgrade projects
- Support overtime and off-shift needs as required
- Travel for training as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Advanced troubleshooting experience with electrical and PLC-controlled equipment
- In-depth knowledge of preventive maintenance systems
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Windows-based applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and maintenance or planning systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Experience & Education
- 5–8 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of experience managing preventive maintenance programs
- Proven experience supporting production operations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
