Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

About the Extraction Technician Role
Crown Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Extraction Technician I to support production operations at a processing facility in Jeffersonville, IN. This role works closely with the Production Supervisor, Team Leads, Quality, and Processing teams to extract, blend, and track bulk ingredients while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and documentation standards.
This position is ideal for candidates with experience or interest in chemistry, biology, food science, or similar production environments who are looking to grow within a regulated manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in all aspects of the extraction and blending process
- Support operation of processing and extraction equipment
- Monitor process equipment and report malfunctions or failures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment
- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure high-quality output
- Adhere to all safety protocols and cGMP guidelines
- Collect in-process samples as required
- Accurately record production and process data
- Follow inventory control standards for materials and supplies
- Store supplies and equipment properly and dispose of waste per safety guidelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Prior cGMP production experience preferred
- Previous botanical extraction experience a plus
- 3–5 years of long-term, stable work history preferred
- Experience in distilleries, food & beverage manufacturing, chemical processing, or similar environments highly valued
- Education in or strong interest in chemistry, biology, food science, or a related field preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail, safety, and documentation
- Ability to read and follow SOPs and production manuals
- Basic math and production terminology knowledge
- Familiarity with OSHA guidelines related to hazardous chemicals
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and dependability
- Sound judgment and strong work ethic
