Quality Inspector: Job Details
Monday – Thursday | 5:30 AM – 3:45 PM | $18 – $25/hour (DOE)
Quality Inspector Requirements:
● High School Diploma or GED (required)
● Ability to read and interpret blueprints/prints
● Experience in quality inspection
● 2–5 years of experience working with foundry castings

About the Quality Inspector Role
As a Quality Inspector, your responsibilities will include:
● Performing routine inspections on raw materials, work-in-process, and finished castings
● Conducting final inspection of castings prior to shipment and notifying supervision if rework is required
● Performing non-destructive testing (NDT), including liquid penetrant (LP) and pressure testing
● Analyzing casting defects and documenting findings
● Inspecting and evaluating castings in welding racks for common indications
● Verifying casting surface finish prior LP testing
● Comparing inspection results to company quality standards and reporting results to supervision
● Maintaining inspection logs, quality records, charts, and documentation
● Communicating casting concerns through pictures, emails, and Quality Holds
● Labeling skids in weld racks and finish inspection racks
● Using inspection equipment such as calipers, tape measures, borescopes, flashlights, cameras, grinders, sand blast cabinets, forklifts, and hoists
