Senior Assembly Technician – Job Details
Location: Jeffersonville / Clarksville Area, IN
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

About the Senior Assembly Technician Role
Crown Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Assembly Technician to support advanced assembly operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems to meet design specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience reading blueprints, and the ability to work independently while supporting team success. This position also serves as a technical resource within the assembly department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble complex mechanical components and systems according to engineering specifications
  • Read and interpret detailed mechanical blueprints, including symbols, tolerances, and bills of materials
  • Operate assembly tools and equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, torque wrenches, and measuring devices
  • Assist with or lead assembly of material handling equipment such as conveyors, motors, drives, and pulleys
  • Verify and select correct parts including fasteners, bearings, and fabricated components
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve assembly or functional issues
  • Perform and document quality checks to ensure compliance with design and safety standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and workflow
  • Mentor and support junior assemblers with best practices and safe work methods
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality guidelines
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of assembly or mechanical experience
  • Strong experience reading and working from mechanical blueprints
  • Experience with material handling equipment assembly preferred
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
