Logistics Manager Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field required
- 5+ years of experience in plant or manufacturing logistics
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP WM/MM modules
- Solid understanding of logistics, material flow, and inventory management
- Experience managing warehouse operations and distribution processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional operations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Preferred: Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge
- Preferred: Experience with automation, scanners, or WMS integrations
About the Logistics Manager Role
As a Logistics Manager, your responsibilities will include:
As a Logistics Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Plan, manage, and optimize all logistics operations within the manufacturing plant
- Oversee inbound logistics including raw materials, packaging, and bulk materials
- Ensure material availability aligns with production schedules and demand
- Manage warehouse operations including storage, layout, and inventory control
- Lead inventory accuracy efforts including cycle counts and stock optimization
- Oversee outbound logistics, shipping operations, and transportation planning
- Coordinate with carriers and optimize freight costs and delivery performance
- Ensure compliance with export, customs, and transportation regulations
- Monitor KPIs such as OTIF, lead times, and overall service levels
- Manage relationships with external logistics providers including 3PL partners
