Job Description

Job Summary:
The Shift Supervisor will oversee, lead, and manage production shift employees and ensure compliance with safety, quality,
and productivity metric standards. Responsible for ensuring staff competence, operational consistency, and resource
effectiveness to safeguard optimal customer satisfaction and attainment of Company goals and objectives. This role will
provide required reporting and metrics while working collaboratively with all teams and staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
? Lead, train, and manage production employees on the assigned shift.
? Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift.
? Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
? Oversees production operations on assigned shift.
? Ensure safe running of all equipment to internal safety guidelines and all associated areas are maintained in a safe,
orderly, and tidy manner.
? Effectively escalate and report any potential safety, manufacturing, and or operational risks or shortages.
? Ensure manufacturing workflow within and between departments; ensure optimal deployment of all resources (staff
and equipment).
? Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
? Conducts daily shift transition meetings, including documentation of progress, challenges, and action items.
? Collaborate with Planning/Scheduling; communicate production schedule and make modifications as needed.
? Create/review SOP’s, FCD’s, work instructions as needed and ensure timely and standardized roll-out across shifts and
departments.
? Provide and document employee training.
? Review, mentor, correct, and elevate staff to clarify expectations, promote personal accountability and highest
performance; contribute to review process.
? Ensures accurate inventory control within ERP transactions, Microsoft AX, to include transactions from inventory,
batch work orders, throughout manufacturing operation.
? Troubleshoots issues that arise. Escalates as needed.
? Communication and collaboration with maintenance department of equipment problems.
? Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
? Ensures shift paperwork is completed, properly documented, and submitted.
? Coordinate with Human Resources to respond to employee concerns, complaints, or behavioral concerns and
disciplinary action.
? Manage consumables Inventory List and provide to procurement in a timely manner.
? Responsible for monitoring downtime, gathering data to include OEE recordation, reporting, and ERP
transactions/reports as needed.

? Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.
Education and Experience:
? High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree preferred.
? Prior exceptional related manufacturing supervisory work experience required.
? Proven ability to take initiative, assume responsibility, plan, organize, and execute with excellence.
? LEAN Manufacturing and ISO experience is welcomed.
Physical Requirements:
? Must be able to traverse the facility.
? Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
