Job Description
Our client is a manufacturer of strap, stretch, and protective packaging consumables, tools, and equipment in Roselle, IL. They are currently hiring an Assembler.
This is a temp-to-perm position! The hours are 6am- 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays as needed
Pay will start at $22.50/hour
What will you do:
- Verify dimensional specifications, alignment, and functionality of assembled parts
- Identifying and documenting all assembly processes, test results, and discrepancies as needed
- Record production data daily
- Perform basic mechanical adjustments and alignments to ensure proper fit and operation.
- Perform operating tests per product checklists.
- Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to assemble electrical components.
- Install electrical components such as switches, sensors, connectors, and wiring harnesses.
- Conduct visual inspections of assembled components to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including the use and implementation of 6S.
What you must have:
- 1+ years of experience in assembly
- Ability to complete necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
- Ability to perform basic math skills, including, but not limited to: Addition, Subtraction, Division, and Multiplication
- Ability to effectively read and use hand/power tools, a tape measure, mechanical drawings, and blueprints
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
- Must comply with pre-employment background and drug screenings
- Must have reliable transportation
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Electrical / Mechanical experience required.
- Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office.
