Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Location: Columbus, OH 43207
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping Clerk to support daily warehouse and logistics operations. This role is responsible for preparing, verifying, and processing outgoing shipments while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining organized and accurate work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and labeling orders
• Verify shipment contents against orders to ensure accuracy
• Coordinate with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and freight companies for pickups and deliveries
• Generate and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading (BOLs), packing slips, and labels
• Track shipments and resolve delivery issues or discrepancies
• Maintain clean and organized shipping and staging areas
• Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock organization
• Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding order status and shipping updates
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics preferred
• Basic computer skills; experience with shipping software or ERP systems is a plus
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Skills

• Experience using RF scanners
• Familiarity with inventory management systems
• Forklift certification is a plus, but not required

Work Environment

• Warehouse setting with moderate to fast-paced activity
• Physically active role requiring standing, lifting, and movement throughout the shift
