Maintenance Technician Job Details
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Hours: 8am – 430pm | Pay: $34-$38/hr
- Overtime possible and may be required
Maintenance Technician Requirements
- Associate’s degree or 1–3 years of maintenance experience required
- Experience with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures
- Ability to plan ahead and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- Welding experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
About the Maintenance Technician Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining facility operations, equipment, and systems to support production and ensure a safe working environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Maintaining and repairing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Inspecting and servicing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems (HVAC)
- Responding to daily maintenance requests tied to production needs
- Coordinating and inspecting contractor work for major repairs
- Scheduling and completing routine maintenance activities
- Performing general facility repairs (painting, patching walls, installing fixtures, etc.)
- Maintaining inventory of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies
- Keeping the tool crib organized and stocked
- Ensuring all safety standards and procedures are followed
- Assisting with equipment setup and upkeep
- Supporting overall facility maintenance including buildings and grounds
