Job Description

Maintenance Technician
Days Worked: Monday – Thursday 
Hours Worked: 8:00 PM – 6:15 AM
Pay: $25.00 – $36.00/hour (based on experience) + $1.00/hr. third shift differential

 Maintenance Technician  Requirements
  • Experience in a foundry environment preferred; otherwise, heavy industrial experience required
  • Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic, and piping diagrams
  • Metal fabrication skills including MIG, TIG, arc gouging/cutting
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming knowledge
  • Facilities maintenance experience (HVAC, welding, carpentry, mechanical systems)
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Skilled calipers, indicators, micrometers, multimeters
  • Ability to operate shop equipment: drill press, lathe, mills, surface grinder, welding equipment, crane, forklift

About the 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician Role
As a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:
  • Perform reactive and planned maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic foundry equipment
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and systems according to schematics, manufacturer specifications, and management guidelines
  • Dismantle machinery to remove defective parts, inspect and repair components, and reassemble for proper function
  • Perform metal fabrication tasks including welding, cutting, and machining to support equipment repair
  • Lay out wire, build, and troubleshoot electrical panels and machinery per NFPA/NEC standards
  • Perform facility maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and general building upkeep
  • Assist machine operators and production personnel for optimal production performance
  • Set up and operate machining equipment: lathe, drill press, grinders, welding equipment, and other metalworking tools
  • Order supplies, repair parts, and maintain inventory as needed
  • Utilize CMMS for work order tracking and maintenance documentation
