Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our team. This role is responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining precision tools, dies, and fixtures used in manufacturing. The ideal candidate takes pride in hands-on craftsmanship, can work independently, and understands the importance of high-quality work in a production environment.

The ideal candidate takes pride in hands-on craftsmanship, can work independently, and understands the importance of high-quality work in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, troubleshoot, repair, and modify dies, molds, and fixtures
- Inspect finished tools and components to ensure they meet specifications
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and detailed specifications
- Set up and operate manual machining equipment (mills, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses)
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to tooling to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose tooling issues and make necessary repairs to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tooling and processes
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety requirements
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, modifications, and builds
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker (or completion of an apprenticeship)
- Strong blueprint reading and precision measuring skills (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Experience with manual machining operations
- Knowledge of metal properties, machining practices, and heat-treating processes
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Journeyman Tool & Die certification
- Experience with progressive die stamping or high-volume production environments
- Familiarity with CNC machining is a plus
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing / shop environment
- Frequent standing, bending, and lifting required
- Regular use of machining equipment and hand tools
- Exposure to noise, metal shavings, and shop conditions
