Location: Louisville, KY
Pay: $25–$28 per hour

Job Summary
Crown Staffing is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Welder to support the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of stainless steel and carbon steel equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role involves welding pressurized piping, tanks, and process vessels while ensuring weld integrity, material compatibility, and pressure-rated system compliance. The ideal candidate has strong TIG welding experience and a commitment to safety, quality, and precision workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and repair of pressurized and non-pressurized stainless steel and carbon steel piping, tanks, vessels, frames, and structural components.
  • Execute welding on pressure-rated systems in compliance with applicable codes, internal specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Utilize TIG welding as the primary method, along with MIG and Stick welding as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure weld quality meets required standards for strength, penetration, finish, and pressure integrity.
  • Support installation, modification, and repair of process piping, tanks, and utility systems.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welds and complete rework or corrective actions when necessary.
  • Follow all hot work, lockout/tagout, confined space, and pressure system safety procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with cGMP, EHS, and internal quality standards.
  • Accurately document maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • 2–5 years of industrial welding experience, including pressurized piping and tanks.
  • Strong proficiency in TIG welding, particularly on stainless steel.
  • Experience working with pressure-rated systems and weld quality requirements.
  • Familiarity with ASME, sanitary welding standards, or similar pressure vessel/piping codes preferred.
  • Experience in food, pharmaceutical, chemical, or cGMP-regulated environments is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and workmanship.
Physical Requirements
  • Work in confined spaces, at heights, and around operating equipment.
  • Maintain strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision welding.
  • Use close-up and distance vision to inspect welds and components.
  • Tolerate exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures while wearing PPE.
  • Climb ladders, stairs, and platforms while carrying tools or equipment.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing environment.
  • Climate-controlled (HVAC) facility.
  • Must comply with all facility safety requirements and PPE standards.
