General Shop Labor
Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Starting at $20+/hour Based on Experience

General Shop Labor Requirements
• Strong mechanical ability and experience using hand and electrical tools required
• Must have good math skills, especially with fractions and decimals
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch
• Excellent attendance and reliability are essential
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a clean driving record required
• Forklift experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred

About the General Shop Labor Role
As a General Shop Person, your responsibilities will include:
• Cutting metal materials to size using various cutting machines
• Grinding and polishing metal products using electrical hand grinders
• Caulking and applying bondo to fabricated products such as railings, fences, and steel stairs
• Loading and unloading trucks using overhead cranes
• Assisting with machine operation, including loading materials and adjusting settings
• Performing routine machine maintenance and shop upkeep
• Reading tape measures and working with precise measurements
• Keeping the shop clean by sweeping, removing trash, and maintaining organization
• Occasionally assisting with outside maintenance tasks and installation support
