Job Description
The Laser Cutter Operator will set up, operate, and maintain CNC laser cutting equipment to produce accurate, high‑quality metal blanks and components. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on manufacturing environment and values precision and efficiency. Experience in metal spinning or metal fabrication is a strong advantage but not a requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut metal components to specification
- Set up machines, adjust parameters, and perform test cuts for accuracy
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Inspect finished parts for quality, consistency, and dimensional accuracy
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on laser equipment
- Track material usage and communicate inventory needs
- Collaborate with metal spinning and fabrication teams to support workflow
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Qualifications
- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes; metal spinning experience is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Basic computer skills and comfort with CNC interfaces
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
