About the Role
Crown Staffing is hiring a Robot Weld Technician – Level I to support automated welding operations in Shelbyville, KY. In this role, you’ll work with robotic welding systems to keep production running smoothly, troubleshoot equipment, and support continuous improvement efforts.
This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing or welding experience who wants to grow their skills in robotics and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot robotic welding equipment
- Make basic programming adjustments (position points, arc start files)
- Adjust fixtures, tooling, and sensors as needed
- Support welding operations and maintain quality standards
- Perform preventative maintenance on robotic welding systems
- Assist in training operators and team members
- Work with Maintenance and Engineering to resolve equipment issues
- Provide technical support to production teams
- Complete production reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives
- Monitor consumables and maintain inventory levels
- Follow blueprints, work instructions, and standard procedures
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of manufacturing or welding experience preferred
- Experience with robotics, fixtures, or GMAW is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Basic computer skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
