About the Role
Crown Staffing is hiring a dependable Service Operations Manager to oversee daily yard operations in Lexington, KY. This role focuses on leading a team, managing inventory, coordinating material handling, and ensuring excellent customer service for both drive-thru and delivery orders.
This is a great opportunity for someone with leadership experience in a warehouse, lumber yard, or building materials environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of yard staff, including training and task assignments
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
- Oversee loading, unloading, stacking, and storage of materials
- Ensure customers are loaded quickly and accurately
- Coordinate delivery orders to ensure materials are prepared on time
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and quality
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed
- Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain organization of yard layout and materials
- Support overall efficiency of operations and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in a lumber yard, warehouse, or building materials environment preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Forklift or material handling equipment experience
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
