Job Summary
Crown Staffing is hiring an experienced Warehouse Forklift Operator for a growing building materials company in Louisville, KY. This role is responsible for operating large-capacity forklifts to move, stage, load, and unload drywall and other construction materials in both warehouse and outdoor yard settings.
The ideal candidate has prior forklift experience in a warehouse or construction materials environment and is committed to workplace safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts with capacities of 10,000 lbs. or greater.
- Load, unload, move, and stage drywall and other building materials.
- Pull and prepare customer orders for delivery and pickup.
- Assist warehouse staff and drivers with truck loading operations.
- Perform routine forklift inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Maintain an organized and safe warehouse and yard environment.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with inventory control and general warehouse responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating large-capacity forklifts required.
- Experience in drywall, lumber, roofing, or building materials environments preferred.
- Ability to safely move and handle construction materials.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Dependable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
- Forklift certification preferred but not required.
Preferred Background
Candidates with experience working in drywall supply, lumber yards, construction supply distribution, or commercial building materials warehouses are encouraged to apply.
