About the Dietary Aide Role
Crown Staffing is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Dietary Aide to support food service operations in a healthcare environment in Brownsburg, IN. This role focuses on delivering meals, assisting patients or residents with menu selections, and ensuring meals are prepared and delivered accurately and efficiently.
The Dietary Aide also acts as a representative of the Food and Nutrition Services department, helping ensure patients and residents receive quality service and a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Meal Preparation & Service
- Prepare cold and hot food items and condiments according to the Daily Production List
- Ensure proper tray presentation, meal accuracy, and appropriate food temperatures
- Deliver meal trays in a timely and organized manner
- Maintain food safety standards, ensuring hot foods stay hot and cold foods stay cold
Menu Assistance
- Deliver and collect patient/resident menus in a timely manner
- Assist patients or residents with menu selections when needed
- Ensure meals meet dietary guidelines and accuracy requirements
Customer Service
- Ensure patient and resident satisfaction with meal service during assigned shifts
- Address culinary needs between meal service times when possible
Organization & Workflow
- Maintain organization on assigned floors during the shift
- Prioritize daily responsibilities and meal service tasks efficiently
Teamwork & Communication
- Assist team members and management as needed
- Communicate any product or equipment concerns to management promptly
- Follow scheduling guidelines and confirm responsibilities before leaving the shift
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain organized and manage tasks during busy meal service times
- Must follow HIPAA policies and maintain confidentiality of patient/resident information
- Must follow safety and health standards in accordance with facility policies and OSHA guidelines
