About the French/English Translator Role
Crown Staffing is seeking a fluent French/English Translator to support a manufacturing team in Louisville, KY. This position ensures clear and accurate communication between English- and French-speaking employees, promoting safety, understanding, and productivity on the production floor. The ideal candidate will have excellent bilingual communication skills and prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate spoken and written information between French and English, ensuring accuracy and maintaining tone, context, and meaning.
- Assist supervisors with communicating job duties, work instructions, and safety procedures to associates.
- Support employee training sessions and meetings by providing on-the-spot interpretation.
- Translate written materials such as job aids, safety posters, and training guides.
- Help facilitate orientation and onboarding for French-speaking employees.
- Communicate clearly with both temporary and permanent staff to ensure tasks are understood.
- Provide feedback and improvement suggestions to supervisors regarding communication or workflow processes.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Fluent in both French and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Six months of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and basic computer skills.
- Strong listening and verbal communication abilities.
- Able to interpret and explain detailed work instructions.
- Dependable and self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to assist across departments as needed.
