Our client is a manufacturer of straps, stretch, and protective packaging consumables, tools, and equipment in Gary, IN. They are currently hiring General Utility Associates.

These are temp-to-perm positions! The hours are 3pm-11pm, Monday through Thursday. Overtime is available weekly! 

Pay will start at $18.00/hour.

As a General Utility Associate, they work with production to ensure production lines have materials, complete paperwork, maintain housekeeping, and assist with quality checks so the team operates smoothly and safely. This position also helps ensure shipments are staged, loaded, and labeled correctly to ensure that the correct product goes out on time every shift.

Responsibilities as a General Utility Associate

-Keep count of inventory produced during shift.

-Helps keep track of actual downtime and cause.

-Ensure proper packaging materials are used for the product type.

-Responsible for building pallets to keep up with product output.

-Unload/load trucks and stage products into the correct location.

-Empty production line into pallets for WIP or finished goods.

-Responsible for starting and operating the mixer/production line.

What you must have:

-2+ years of experience in manufacturing or similar preferred.

-Ability to read and understand a product master

-Ability to complete necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner

-Ability to perform basic math skills, including, but not limited to: Addition, Subtraction, Division, and Multiplication

-Ability to effectively read and use a tape measure

-Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

-Must comply with pre-employment background and drug screenings

-Must have reliable transportation
